Care

Seeing life in a different light
Strange things happening in the night
Awoken by a strange sort of feeling
Need to find a place of healing

A journey made to a different place
Eerily quiet, where’s the human race
Deserted car parks all around
Is there anybody here in this town

A door is opened and faces appear
What’s the matter, they sound sincere
Sitting there shaking, awaiting to see
If there’s a change to my destiny

Suddenly people rushing around
All this activity, what’s going down
Needles and pins being attached to the skin
Starting the journey, has the end begun

Moved to a different place, more people stare
Here comes another one, do people care
What they look at, they can’t hide
But they don’t know the pain you have inside

Grey clouds outside, wind gushing around
The views so different from inside the gown
Your now a number awaiting your turn
Different kind of service that you can’t spurn

Doped up on medication, high as a kite
Strange kinds of images appear in the night
Several hours later, the dawn appears
A whole different feeling, no longer fear

White coats surround you being polite
Notes being taken, hope they are right
Discussions abound, decisions made
Care almost over, hope you enjoyed your stay
