So another one bites the dust, but this time it’s too personal
Too many good ones being taken away, surely it’s time to rest and be thankful
Too much misery being cast on our lives, need some time to recover
Go take a holiday or sabbatical and allow us to have some love for one another

Too many tears, too much shock, families being left to pick up the pieces
Too many people with a full life ahead being cut short because of your process
Why can’t you give them their moments of happiness, do you think it will spoil your success
Just leave us in peace, go fuck yourself and forget about your need for redress

I witnessed for myself the results of your handiwork, just another statistic for you
The pain and anguish you put people through, has it really any meaning for you
Oh, the positives it brings you say, such as making us stronger to cope
Well in the modern day and technology we have, all we need to do is use Google and hope

I don’t get the point of what you are trying to achieve
By removing good, beautiful people that we no longer can see
So, you leave us their souls and the memories to look back on
But can you not just leave us alone for a few more years to catch up on

Is it selfish that I want to enjoy those all around me
I want them to be here for longer than you allow
I want to share a time in life where we all can enjoy our twilight
Haven’t we contributed enough to your pension plan before you say goodnight

Just give us a break for once in your version of life
Let us get back to some peaceful times, be happy, smile, laugh and have some pride
In the knowledge that we know it won’t last forever
Then you can come and take us, at a time we both can agree on together
