Night Girl

Opened the door with a smile on her face
She never thought, it was a disgrace
To offer such services she also enjoyed
Pretending to be some rich mans toy

Entered a world far removed from her past
So keen at the outset, life was a blast
Looked at it with a commercial approach
False face lit up with a gift of a broach

An actress she thought, lots of parts played
The actors she met only looking to get laid
Until the inevitable stage fright appeared
And nothing to do with Shakespeare’s King Lear

Her money made, she could exit the show
But what could she do now, what did she know
Life in the fast lane had come to a halt
The rich mans toy locked away in a vault

Thought long and hard about what she would do
Didn’t want to be part of the human zoo
Knew she had something better to give
Put something back and allow her to live

Far away from this life that she knew
Was temporary accommodation, no room with a view
Needed to break out and use her skills
Developing so fast time would stand still

Purchased the ticket, first class of course
Couldn’t give up a last chance to show
To people who knew her stuck up her nose
Walked down the aisle with a models pose

Journey over, finally there
No need to worry, nobody stared
Just another looker in a city so full
Of women like her, can life be so cruel
