Didn’t know what I would find there if I stayed
But Rocio let me see a garden we could play
A world full of colour, a street full of noise
Set inside those ancient walls where people could enjoy
A life full of envy from those who came
Walking down carriers or passages by name
Bars that would welcome you by their name
I’ve been to Amsterdam somehow in Spain
Brown eyes glowing everywhere you look
Cigars smoking setting signals up above
Strange noises coming out of mouths that shriek
Seems that birds have joined the elite
Wandered through streets where colours shine
Spent my time drinking too much wine
Of all colours and tastes I enjoy
Takes me back to just being a boy
Looking at life through different eyes
Somehow innocence often belies
Feelings that we hide fearing what lies
Beyond the horizon far above the skies
Rocio, Rocio, shine that light
Give us that feeling that we are right
In that we ‘re good whomever we are
By illuminating light, by shining as a star
