Her Land

Just last week came across this land
Just stared at me then brushed my hand
Allowed me back inside her heart
Told me there and then we’d never part

Life was good up until that point
Couldn’t get any better, how was I so wrong
Felt her rays burn inside my brain
Opened my mouth and drank from the pouring rain

Felt her grip right around my waist
Smelled her beauty, was such a sweet taste
There and then knew that I’d belong
To her beautiful place that could do no wrong

Black haired girls wearing sprigs of heather
Felt their warm breathe on my face like the summer weather
Made my mind up there and then to stay forever
In this Utopian world where we can live together

Led me up those dizzy heights where I could see clear
Raised my arms up to the sky, touched the clouds, they were so near
Gave me a feeling I could do anything I wanted
Overcame previous fears that had been so daunting

She allowed me to go back to where I had come from
She allowed me to return to the person I used to be
Her land, oh her beautiful land sent me an invitation
No gifts requested, just attendance required to this surreal destination
