Doors are opening, hot air arrives
People walking in a line awaiting their surprise
Shown to their chariots taking them to enter
The next part of their journey, they’ll always remember
All along the highway the desert sand abounds
Driving down the peace road no V signs around
Arriving at their castle, keys thrust into hands
Once the doors are open they feel safe and sound
The morning sun rises quickly the warm wind blows so strong
The morning brings all greetings, soon there will be song
People from all over, looking all the same
Only difference is their voices, but they’re playing the same game
What about those who’s country we invade
For a week or even longer, then leave with memories made
What has happened to them, a once proud nation changed
They created civilisation that we’ve managed to re-arrange
Have they sold their souls for the western dollar
Evolution never stops, but will it end in sorrow
It’s ok saying welcome but do they truly mean it
It’s easy saying have a nice day, do their sons and daughters believe it
Do we think their genuine people
We have to believe it if we intend to continue
Their early civilisation will always remain
Their future civilisation will always change
The people whom we meet here are happy to receive us
Their warm smile and handshakes want to believe us
Do not pay lip service they don’t deserve it
Treat them as our friends and learn what they give us
