Woman of Power

Confused by appearances, face from the past
Driving ambition, she knew wouldn’t last
Who could have told her, what did she know
Play the game, collect two hundred and go

Plans she developed, thought she was right
Without her army, would never win the fight
Creative by nature, designs for life
Came to a crossroads, what turns right

Where did her dreams go, what did she think
Why did she stagger, was it just the drink
A person of power, controlling at best
A flick of her hand disregarded the rest

Took it in her stride, decisions were made
Focused on style, certainly not naive
Destiny fulfilled at an early age
At the top of her tree, this was her stage

Sussed out the good ones, got rid of the bad
Male domination she thought was so sad
Brought a fresh new vision, not all that rare
People suggested a breathe of fresh air

Words were written all about her
Songs created we all could share
A legend in film, captured her life
Her crossroads decision, turned out to be right
